Classes started back up this week, hence another late post. Have you ever looked at a book and been intimidated before you even cracked the cover? I tell you my biology text book is scary to even look at, it’s red of all colours. A nice soothing green might have been a better choice for a book that is, I swear, 50 pounds. And I found out in class (because I still haven’t removed the plastic wrap) that there is a CD/DVD Rom inside the book that has extra chapters that will be covered. YIKES! John and I were joking about it, how I should just give up now. We went on and on for a good 5-10 minutes, it was pretty funny… but at the same time a small part of me was thinking maybe I should just give up.

I love cookbooks. I love looking at the pictures and I love the idea of making and eating the things in those pictures. However, I really don’t have all that many cookbooks. Why you may ask? Well my obsession is held in check by … no not the cost, well not exactly. You see I’ll find a cook book that I’ll want to buy and half way to the checkout I’ll remember that my ambitions to make all the things in those pictures dies the minute I leave the store. I probably have about 20 cookbooks and I can probably count on one hand the number of times that I’ve used them. Pathetic I know. But that is about to change. I’m challenging myself to make one thing a week from one of the books in my small collection.
